Google Video shutting down…

Hello Everyone,

As a reminder later this month, hosted video content on Google Video will no longer be available for playback. Google Video stopped taking uploads in May 2009 and now they will be removing the remaining hosted content.

On April 29, 2011, videos that have been uploaded to Google Video will no longer be available for playback. Google added a Download button to the video status page, so you can download any video content you want to save. If you don’t want to download your content, you don’t need to do anything. (The Download feature will be disabled after May 13, 2011.)

Google suggests you to move to your content to YouTube if you haven’t done so already. YouTube offers many video hosting options including the ability to share your videos privately or in an unlisted manner. To learn more go here.

Here’s how to download your videos:

  1. Go to the Video Status page.
  2. To download a video to your computer, click the Download Video link located on the right side of each of your videos in the Actions column.

Once a video has been downloaded, “Already Downloaded” will appear next to the Download Video link.

If you have many videos on Google Video, you may need to use the paging controls located on the bottom right of the page to access them all.

Please note: This download option will be available through May 13, 2011.

I hope this post was helpful if so be sure to share with your friends.

To your Success,

Vic

A sad goodbye…

Have you ever known someone who is just a strong person?

The kind of person that always seems to have it together and no matter what happens they are always smiling? Well I’d like to tell you about such a person. Her name is Cheryl Lightner.

I met Cheryl over 15 years ago and from the moment we met we were friends. She is the type of friend that would do anything in the world to help you. She was my “go-to” person when I was looking to get Honest, no BS advice. I knew, without a doubt she would give me her honest opinion. She was not the type that sugar coats things. Some people may find this approach offensive. I personally found it refreshing.

Cheryl was the type of person who could always make you smile. She always had a look on her face like she was up to something which is probably why we got along so well. There were times over the years when months would go by without us talking but whenever we got on the phone it was like we never missed a beat. Our conversations would range from family to business to life in general. We would laugh so hard sometimes my stomach would hurt. Cheryl is the only women I have ever met that could actually embarrass me in a conversion make me say “OK, Stop! I don’t need to hear anymore!”

Cheryl was a successful self made person with an outlook on life that was always positive. She was always on the go and ready for the next adventure. I’ll never forget, one day she called me and said can you help me? I just bought a boat and I’m a little nervous about driving it by myself for the first time. Cheryl never did anything half ass, she went all in or not at all. When most people decide to buy a boat they usually start out with something small and then move up. Well Cheryl started out with a 34′ Twin engine yacht. I went to the marina and we went out on her boat. I showed her a few basic things and she said alright, I got it, I’ll take over now and that’s just how she did things. No Fear, No hesitation!

About 6 years ago I couldn’t get in touch with her for a month or so. She finally called me back and told me where she had been. I’m waiting to hear about her latest adventure when she says to me, “I’ve been in the hospital for the last few weeks. Get this, I have cancer. They found this tumor the size of a basketball and I had to go in for an emergency surgery.”  Without missing a beat she says to me, “So what have you been up to?”

Stunned I said, Whoa, back up! What did you just say? She repeats herself with a tone in her voice that was just so normal, I on the other hand couldn’t believe what I was hearing. She said, “They say I have Peritoneal Mucinous Carcinomatosis, it’s a rare cancer that originates in the appendix, Aint that some shit! Leave it to me to get a rare type of cancer”

For the last 6 years Cheryl lived. She worked, traveled, sailed and enjoyed life. You would never have suspected that she was sick or even felt bad, let alone had cancer.

Cheryl never wanted anyone to worry she was always concerned about how others felt. Just before this past Christmas I get an email from Cheryl, It was an email that she had sent to all of her friends. She wanted to let everyone know that the cancer had returned. She said it had invaded her liver and the course of action was still to be determined.

I spoke with Cheryl on the phone and she didn’t want to discuss details, I told her I loved her and she was in my prayers.

I spoke to Cheryl a few weeks ago. I had left several messages and she finally called me back. She was not her usual self but I’ll never forget that conversation. She said, Vic, I’m tired and I’ve had enough. I told her I loved her and she said I love you too. I asked if I could do anything and of course, she said no.

Last week I was out of the country on a cruise. Upon my return I had learned that my friend had passed away. I knew the last time we spoke would probably be our last. I feel fortunate to have had such a great friend in my life. That kind of friend is rare and for me, well let’s just say that she was one of a kind. I know Cheryl had lots of friends in her life and she had a way of making each one of us feel special. If you were blessed enough to have Cheryl as a friend, you know exactly what I mean.

The world will miss you Cheryl but I know that you are in a better place and I’m sure you are having fun and making friends. Save me rocking chair on the front porch.

Cheryl was a giving person and never wanted others to worry about her. If you care to help in the fight to cure cancer, please make a donation in Cheryl’s name the information is below.

I will miss you my friend….

Look out New York Here I Come!!

Well actually I’m heading to Long Island this weekend.

You know, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t feel grateful for all that I have in my life. I’m very fortunate and feel blessed so I try to give back every chance I get. That’s why I’m heading to New York this weekend.

I am volunteering my time to help out a friend. It’s actually a little more than that but I’d rather tell you about her first. Her name is Laura Kennedy.

Laura is retired Navy and has a passion and dedication for our country like you’ve never seen. Let’s face it, if you live here in the USA you have a sense of pride and realize how fortunate we are and at times we also take that for granted. It’s easy to get caught up in all the BS you here and see and read but overall, we’re very lucky to live here in the USA.

Our troops, our friends, family and neighbors having been giving their lives for our freedom in Afghanistan for the last 9 years and whether you believe in the war or not the fact remains that our brothers and sisters are there because our country asked them to be. I’m sure they would rather be here, with their loved ones.

Laura understands what it is like to be deployed and to be away from family. She understands the sacrifices everyone makes. Remember, a lot of our soldiers have families they leave behind.

That is why Laura single-handedly put together a Telethon. Yes she has had people volunteer their time and services but she has undertaken and organized this huge task and wants NOTHING in return for herself.

Laura is a true survivor. She was in the World Trade Center on September 11th and was one of the lucky people who made it out. Laura is an amazing person with a giving heart and that’s why I’m heading to Long Island.

Veterans Day is Thursday November 11th but Starting Friday November 6th 12am or “0001 hours”  Laura has assembled an online Telethon that will go 24 hours straight.

100% of all the telethon proceeds will go to the support of our Veterans and their families through the organizations represented at this event.

You can watch the telethon online at http://flagstillstandsforfreedom.com or Click Here

If you would like to make a donation you can do so by calling (516) 442 9126 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              (516) 442 9126      end_of_the_skype_highlighting. There has been a lot of hype about what Laura is doing and there are a lot of people volunteering their time for this cause but I wanted to share a little about the person who is responsible for this event because it’s people like Laura who make our Country Great!!

A Chance to Cruise Free….

Greetings Everyone,

I wanted to tell you about my friend Daniel Hall’s new “Speak on Cruise Ships” program that he is launching this Tuesday, October 26 at 12 noon
Central time.

It is possible (indeed probable) to cruise free as a speaker by using the little-known “enrichment” programs that most cruise lines have… IF you
know how to break in. I’ve been speaking on Cruise ships for the past few years.

This video explains everything… Click Here to watch

Daniel has limited this to only 300 people so act now.

Here’s a what you’ll discover with Daniel’s program –

*  Setting up free cruises for yourself…
*  Bringing along a traveling companion (who likewise cruises free)
*  Selling your own products on board
*  Getting free shore excursions on certain itineraries
*  Using your cruise gigs to get paid speaking engagements

Also, Daniel, who has been called the “King of cruise ship speaking,” has been helping people to cruise free for over half a decade…

Let’s just put it this way… when it comes to cruise ship speaking Daniel knows his business.

This video explains everything… Click Here to watch

Get on over there pronto while there is still time to get yourself booked.

Happy Cruising!!

Vic

P.S. You know I don’t tell you about stuff unless its the real deal… Daniel’s “Speak on Cruise Ships” is the real McCoy.

This video proves it… Click Here to watch
